About Me

Thank you for checking out my page! I'm a lifelong lover of technology who is enjoying every step of the way along my long journey in coding. While most of my background isn't in tech, it has been a big part of my life. My whole life my main hobbies have included computers and technology and I've always dreamt of moving into the field professionally. After dabbling in some Ruby and Python courses online I decided to sign up for a bootcamp and have fully enjoyed completely immersing myself into programming. I look forward to take my work ethic and problem solving from the production floor and use it to the fullest extent in my coding.

When I'm not programming, I enjoy spending my free time going to and competing in esports tournaments in the Chicago area. I'm also an avid fan of music and travel all over the Midwest attending concerts.

Projects

These are just a couple projects I've been working on that I'm proud of. You can find all of my projects over on my Github.

What to Eat

This was my Capstone project for Actualize. My app What to Eat helps take the stress out of deciding where to eat. What to Eat uses Ruby on Rails, Javascript, HTML, CSS and Vue.js.

Pro Player

My first post-cohort group project. Challenged to make a video player that you could also upload your own videos to, we utilized cookies to store the videos you upload. Uses Vanilla Javascript, HTML and CSS.
Created with Hubert Shon and Kristofer Henriquez.

Movie.Info

This app was for a coding challenge that asked me to build an app that would allow you to search an api for movies and then give the movie a thumbs up or thumbs down. Is it pretty? Absolutely not. Does it work? You bet. Uses Ruby on Rails, Javascript and Vue.js.

Social Clone

This is my first attempt at using Laravel and PHP. Still a work in progress as I continue to progress and learn more about PHP and Laravel. I used TailWind CSS to make it look a bit better.
